Treatment Types

image
Sea Water

Sea Water needs desalination to make it possible for humans to drink. This is done by Reverse Osmosis, a membrane separation technique. Our range of Watermaker units make this possible with the lowest energy footprint available at small scale.

Bore Water

Bore water or ground water is often used in rural households and for garden/farm irrigation. Bore Water tends to absorb a variety of minerals, including salt, and varies in quality geographically and at different bore depths. Normally the first step is a water analysis to determine the background water quality. Then appropriate water treatment can be determined.

River & Dam Water

Lakes, dams, rivers and streams all provide surface water for individual household use in Australia. These sources often vary greatly through location, seasonality and weather events. Find out how to ensure your water quality can be consistent and safe year round.

Tank Water

Around 25% of Australian homes use rainwater every day for drinking. Generally tank water is low in minerals, clear and excellent to drink. Roof animals such as birds, possums, cats and rats can leave droppings on roofs that flow to the tank. Simple filtration and disinfection reduces the potential for family illnesses caused by bacteria, cysts and viruses.

Town Water

Your local water authority has done a great job treating the raw water from your local source and sending it through its network safely to your home. That said, a simple treatment option can help improve the water quality by removing any remaining sediment, taste and odour, dissolved components and chlorination organic by-products.
